This is the very first try - Please give us some help to make it more complete!
Veteranklubben (a club for Saab veterans) was formed in 1986, and has today about 380 members.
The club maintains a library and produces a collection of articles of historical interest (“Saabminnen”) once a year. Meetings, lectures, social gatherings, study visits and other activities are arranged on a regular basis.
The club is open to present and former employees of companies in the Linköping area within the Saab Group with 20 years or more with the company. The Board may grant a dispensation in certain cases.
If you are interested in becoming a member, contact one of the board members (see “Styrelse”), either by clicking on their E-mail adress, or by phone.
There is a working group under the board; it arranges working meetings every Thursday between 09.00 and 11.30 (with a break in summer and over Christmas/New Year’s) in the club’s facilites in “Flygets Hus” at Malmen, close to the Flygvapenmuseum (Swedish Air Force Museum).
These sessions are chiefly devoted to the sorting and filing of incoming material. There is of course also a social touch to it, including the mandatory coffee break (“fika”)!
Saab material for our archive and library.
Whenever you clean out your office for any reason – retirement, change of department, or just for the fun or necessity of it – and you find books, files, reports, photos, OH slides etc. which you don’t know what to do with, we will be more than happy to relieve you of this burden. Please note that you don’t have to be a member of the club to ask us for the favour!
Our archive comprises about 800 files and almost 30 000 photos. Most of the material is searchable via a database with 1900 titles.
